Wednesday, May 2 – Wednesday night program with potluck at 6:00.  The program, “What It Means to Be Gay”, will immediately follow dinner.  A panel of UCC members will present the program.

Saturday, May 5 – Skip will have a book signing of his book, Wear Your Collar at the Putnam County Library from 10:00AM – 2:00PM.

Saturday, May 5 - Upper Cumberland Gay Pride event at Dogwood Park, 4:00 – 7:00PM.  UCC will have a booth there

Sunday, May 13 – Mother’s day- 1 John 5:1-5 “The Essence of Our Faith”

Tuesday, May 15 – Dismas House volunteer appreciation picnic at Cane Creek Park, 5-8pm. Bring a side dish & beverage

Sunday, May 20 - Council Meeting 8:30 AM- 1 John 5:6-12- “The Essence of Eternal Life”

Sunday, May 27 - Pentecost Sunday- Romans 8:18-25 -”The  Essence of Hope”, Special Offering  ”Strengthen The Church”

April Happenings

Thanks to Hannah and the gang for taking care of the Heifer International booth at TTU’s Windows on the World!

Many thanks to those who helped with the Gould St. cleanup effort. Our street looks great!

Dates for April 2012

Saturday, April 14th – Windows of the World, international festival at TTU, from 10am – 5pm. Food court offers delicacies from 12 countries and entertainment from 16 cultures. United Church of Cookeville will represent the Heifer Project once again.

Sunday, April 15 – Council Meeting 8:30AM

Wednesday, April 18 – 7:00am – 8:00am Dismas House will have its annual “Forgiveness Breakfast for Dismas House” at the Collegeside Church of Christ
